In this direction, all entities within the Sb Özel Group take all kinds of measures to minimize the possible negative effects on the environment, and resolutely pursue an environmental policy that aims to prevent harm to the environment by using natural resources efficiently.

Sb Özel Group continues its works in order to both produce permanent solutions and create social awareness in the face of environmental pollution in Turkey.

The Group, which carries out all its applications in the production process with an environmentally friendly approach, also makes its contribution to the environment sustainable by producing buildings with high energy efficiency. Sb Özel Group gives priority to the design of the housing projects it undertakes with a nature-friendly and environmentalist perspective.

Sb Özel Effect LEED®, which is the prestigious residence, office and business center project of Sb Özel Group, and which received consultancy services on the high-performance energy and water efficiency of the building since its concept design, was designed with the target of USGBC NC Gold certification. When the project is completed, it will be the first LEED Gold Targeted mixed-use building in Ankara. LEED Certificate is the most preferred Environmentally Responsible Building Certificate in the world and in Turkey. With the different evaluation systems of the LEED Certificate System, LEED Certificate can be obtained for all building types. As a result of the scoring made by LEED AP according to the features of the buildings, the building can receive LEED Certificate with one of the certified, silver, gold and platinum levels. Criteria such as sustainable lands, water efficiency, indoor quality, innovation, settlement and transportation are important for Leed Gold certification.

Sb Özel Group has risen rapidly with its strong knowledge and experience in environmental technologies, which it has adopted as its new field of activity, and has undertaken the construction, maintenance and operation of wastewater treatment plants in many cities such as Istanbul and Antalya. Being the producer and operator of Turkey’s leading and largest wastewater treatment plants today, the Group, with the awareness of its responsibility for a livable world and clean seas, researches and implements methods that will provide the highest efficiency in wastewater treatment plants.

Acting with an entrepreneurial approach in the field of environmental technologies, Sb Özel Group undertook the operation of giant world-class wastewater treatment plants, which purify 3 million m3 of water every day, for 10 years in order to preserve the natural balance of the Marmara Sea and the Bosphorus in the light of this understanding. The Group also added six large wastewater treatment plants with a population capacity of approximately 3 million equivalents to Istanbul and added a new one to its nature-friendly activities. In addition, Sb Özel Group treats 500,000 m3 of water per day in the wastewater treatment plants it operates in Bursa, and disposes of 400 tons of treatment sludge.

 

Education
Sb Özel Group contributes to education with all the school constructions it has realized from past to present; leading to raising the level of social awareness.

As an organization that gives importance to education, Sb Özel Group has built nearly 100 schools all over Turkey, especially in Anatolia. He completed the projects he built in the shortest time and worked with great devotion.

Health Service
Sb Özel Group has contributed to the development of the health sector with more than 20 hospitals and health facilities that it has undertaken to date.

Mardin State Hospital, which was built by Sb Özel Group and opened in 2015, was built in accordance with the smart building concept and is equipped with modern medical facilities.

Sb Özel Group completed the Siirt State Hospital, for which it started construction work in 2011, and put it into service in 2014.

Our Conflict of Interest Policy:

Conflict of interest; It refers to the state of employees having any kind of personal interest and any material personal interest related to them, their relatives, friends or the persons or organizations they are in contact with, which affect or may affect their duties in an impartial manner.

• Employees must act in accordance with legal regulations and company business ethics under all circumstances.

• Employees cannot gain unfair advantage in favor of themselves, their relatives or third parties by making use of their titles and powers. They cannot leak any information belonging to the company from the inside and gain commercial interest, and they cannot be instrumental in the benefit of third parties.

• If it is learned that their relatives have a share or financial interest in another company with which they have a commercial relationship, they should inform their superiors.

• The gifts and promotional materials to be given to customers, dealers and other third parties with whom they have business relations are approved by the senior management of Sb Özel Group. No separate authorization is required for the distribution of approved gifts and promotional materials.

• Employees can make speeches and write professional articles on subjects that are not contrary to company policies. In order to use the company name in these activities, approval from the management is required.

• Company employees can actively work in any social solidarity association, individually and voluntarily.

• Employees may make personal financial or moral aid and/or donations to third parties outside the Company, and may take part in charitable organizations.

• Employees may not engage in acts and behaviors contrary to morality, law and company discipline.

• Employees should consider the interests of the company in the use of resources on behalf of the company. Company assets, facilities and personnel cannot be used outside the company. The principle of saving in all matters is applied by all personnel.

• Employees should use the time well during business hours. They cannot devote time to their private work and managers cannot be assigned to their employees’ personal work.

• It is essential that no special visitors are accepted during working hours. Employees are required to complete it in a reasonable time so as not to hinder the workflow for mandatory visitors.

 

Our Confidential Information Protection Policy:

Confidential and proprietary information; It includes information belonging to our company that will disadvantage us in terms of competition, trade secrets, financial and other information that has not yet been disclosed to the public, information regarding personnel personal rights and information within the framework of confidentiality agreements concluded with third parties.

As Sb Özel Group, we protect the privacy and security of the personal data of our customers, employees, consumers and other persons, and act in accordance with the laws governing how we use this information, and especially the Law No. 6698.

• Company information cannot be disclosed to third parties unless disclosure is required by official authorities and legislation.

• Company information cannot be changed, copied or destroyed. Necessary measures are taken to ensure that information is carefully kept, stored and not disclosed. Changes on the information are recorded with its history.

• Confidential files cannot be taken out of the institution. For confidential information that needs to be taken out of the institution, the approval of the information officer or senior management should be obtained.

• Passwords, user codes and similar identifying information used to access company information are kept confidential and not disclosed to anyone other than authorized users.

• Confidential information cannot be spoken in public places such as dining halls, cafeterias, elevators, service cars and similar places.

• Confidential information is clearly stated according to their degree of confidentiality. Employees know the degree of confidentiality of the information they obtain due to their duties and act in accordance with this confidentiality.

• If information is shared with third parties and/or organizations for the benefit of the company, a confidentiality agreement is signed or a written confidentiality commitment is obtained from the other party in order to ensure that the responsibilities of these individuals and organizations regarding the security and protection of the shared information are understood.

• Unfounded statements and/or gossip about persons or institutions cannot be made.
• Personal information is confidential and cannot be disclosed to anyone other than the authorities. Personal information is sent to the individual. It is strictly forbidden for the personnel to disclose this information to others or to pressure other employees to disclose the information.
• When employees leave the company, confidential information and documents they have due to their duties, project regulations, etc. They cannot take out such works.
• It is our priority to take the necessary precautions and make arrangements regarding confidentiality obligations for those who quit their job in order to protect the confidentiality of the company.

 

Our Occupational Health and Safety Policy:

Sb Özel Group organizes occupational health and safety for its employees at work and on the job and does the necessary work for this.

• Sb Özel Group adopts the principle that occupational health and safety improvement activities are the common responsibility of all employees.
• Employees act in accordance with the rules and instructions set for this purpose and take the necessary precautions.
• Employees may not keep any illegal and illegal goods or substances in the workplace that pose a danger to the workplace and/or workers.
• Employees do not possess drugs, addictive, mental or physical abilities restricting or eliminating substances in the workplace, except for those with a valid medical certificate. They cannot work at work or within the scope of work while under the influence of such substances.

Our Political and Social Activity Policy:

Company resources (such as vehicles, computers, e-mails) cannot be allocated to political activities. Donations cannot be made to political parties, politicians or political candidates. Demonstrations, propaganda and similar activities are not allowed within the boundaries of the workplace.
Membership in any non-governmental organization representing the company and participation in its activities can be carried out within the knowledge of the company.

Ethical Code of Conduct and Practice Management:

Those who violate the code of ethics or company policies and procedures will be subject to disciplinary sanctions, which can lead to dismissal if necessary. Disciplinary sanctions will also be applied to those who have knowledge of these issues and do not make the necessary notification properly. Sb Özel Group should inform its employees and managers about the “Code of Ethical Conduct and Practice Management”. Employees must understand, accept and perform the specified tasks; They should make ethical behavior a habit while doing their job. Their lack of knowledge about the Code of Ethics and similar regulations does not exempt them from their responsibilities.

• Obligation to Notify Violations:
• If the employees learn or suspect that the Company’s Code of Ethical Conduct or the laws and regulations to which the company is subject, they are obliged to inform the relevant unit manager.
• The identity of those who make notifications and complaints is kept confidential and not disclosed to third parties.
• Any employee who makes a good faith report is not allowed to be threatened or harmed in any way, in or out of the workplace. This type of behavior is interpreted as a violation of ethical rules and necessary disciplinary penalties are applied.
• It is very important that the whistleblower is free from any intentions such as gossiping about the whistleblower or trying to negatively affect his career. In this respect, confidentiality, objectivity and compliance with ethical rules are an extremely critical issue in the reporting and investigation process. It is obligatory for the people who make the notification and who manage the process related to the issue to pay maximum attention to this issue.
• When deliberate reports of false and/or slander are detected, they are interpreted as a violation of the code of ethics.

• Employees are made aware of supporting the management in ensuring the effectiveness of the reporting mechanism.

• Disciplinary Practice

The following disciplinary penalties are applied after violations of the Code of Ethical Conduct:

• If there is an abuse that is determined to have been done knowingly, he is dismissed in accordance with the relevant articles of the labor law without considering the beneficial works he has done in the past, and legal action is initiated if deemed necessary.

• It should be ensured that the notification mechanism is in the interest of the company.

• In case of negligence arising from carelessness or ignorance, a verbal or written warning is given.

• Written minutes are kept from the beginning during the investigation process. The relevant unit may request information, documents and evidence regarding the investigation.
